About Hanna Kende

 

The 4th Conference on Psychodrama for Children and Adolescents will be held in Cluj to celebrate the 100th birthday of Mrs. Hanna KENDE.

Mrs. Hanna KENDE, born in Cluj in 1925, is a trainer psychotherapist of the French Society of Adlerian Psychoanalysis (SFPA – Société Française de Psychanalyse Adlérienne), honorary president and trainer of the Hungarian Association of Adlerian Psychotherapy (MIPE), and a supervisor for the Hungarian Psychodrama Association (MPE). She currently resides in Paris, France.

During her career at the French Ministry of Justice, she worked in Paris as a clinical psychologist and researcher in Youth Protection. During this time, she developed the psychodrama method for children, a group psychotherapy technique that has since been adopted by many professionals.
Her entire professional life has been dedicated to supporting children and adolescents in emotional distress, helping them restore their psychological balance by rediscovering their inner spontaneity and creativity.

Since 1991, she has been training specialists in this method. She has personally trained approximately 300 specialists in Hungary and 25-30 specialists in Romania. Through her disciples, the method has reached professionals in Italy, Croatia, Serbia, Austria, Hawaii, Burundi, and other locations.

In 2025, her 100th birthday will be celebrated in her hometown of Cluj with the 4th International Conference on Psychodrama for Children and Youth.

In 2017, Mrs. Hanna KENDE’s book on the psychodrama method for children, Psychodrama with Children – Healing Children through Their Own Creativity, was published in English by Routledge. The first edition of the book was published in Hungarian in 2000.
